The Basiv Kut Lake in Rivne. The Basiv Kut is possible to translate from Ukrainian as The Bas  Corner or The Bas Nook. The name Basiv Kut comes from the name of the village that became part of Rivne.  For the first time a former village Basi Nook mentioned in the Act of 1429 . The Cand.Phil.Sci J. Pura said, the initial name of this settlement were one-word adjectival where distinct root "Bass".  It is obvious name (nickname) founder or founders of the settlement. On the basis of binary composite "nook" could develop as a result of the merger of two separate names  - bass and nook , the latter in the sense of "nook " , "corner", "remote, quiet, secluded place". The scientist indicates that people had said bass corner  comprehend as modified Baasha corner ( Corner Pashin ). Like, this site rules a Turkish nobleman " Basha ", " Pasha ".
